Sales Engineer

Anonymizer is an Abraxas Corporation Company and is the leader in online identity protection and privacy. We are seeking a talented Sales Engineer for our sales team.

This position will provide technical guidance, consulting, design and execution for new sales prospects and client implementation. They will work directly with the sales team and the client to define the solution.

Responsibilities include ›

  • Define technical solution for the Anonymizer Service
  • Work on RFP’s with Sales and provide technical content for response
  • Coordinate through appropriate departments
  • Write and/or assist in the creation of Statements of Work
  • Help architect the solution for the prospect or client
  • Demonstrate solutions to prospect or client

Qualifications include ›

  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to actively whiteboard data/date flow solutions based on client needs
  • Ability to analyze data requirements
  • Java or Perl expertise
  • Strong background in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Linux, Solaris, Apache/SQUID and High Availability Architectures
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP and related products as well as VPNs

IT Staff Desktop Network Administrator

Responsibilities include ›

  • Maintain Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Maintain, upgrade and support Apple OS/X and Microsoft XP, Vista, and Windows 7 clients.
  • Support Blackberry and Droid users.
  • Provide strong support and training skills to users with a wide range of skill sets.
  • Maintain documentation and inventory of all IT hardware assets.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve server, network, workstation, laptop, telephone, printer and other related hardware and software issues.
  • Provide some facilities support as needed.

Java Engineer

Anonymizer, the leader in providing Internet security and privacy, is looking for a skilled Java Software Engineer. Candidate will be an experienced Java developer capable of working with all levels of applications. Candidate will be familiar with Web application architectures.

NOC Technician

Anonymizer is an Abraxas Corporation Company and is the leader in online identity protection and privacy. We are seeking several NOC Technicians to support our 24/7/365 environment.

The Anonymizer Network Operation Center (NOC) Technician is responsible for the 24/7/365 monitoring of the Anonymizer network. The NOC Technician will be the primary response and point of contact for all customers with the intent of resolving greater than 85% of the issues. The NOC Technician will have the authority to escalate cases outside of their expertise to additional groups within Anonymizer when necessary and follow through to a timely resolution. The position will be expected to interact heavily with various customers using phone, chat or email to promptly resolve issues.

Responsibilities include ›

  • Serve as primary responder for all server outages and customer complaints, monitoring the progress of events and supplying the client or vendor with updates
  • Monitor all global Anonymizer servers, applications, network devices and connections along with customer traffic using specific custom built tools
  • Work with the systems and network administration teams to resolve complex issues within specific service level agreement times
  • Work directly with Anonymizer customers to resolve technical issues and questions
  • Perform basic systems troubleshooting and management, coordinate with appropriate Anonymizer teams when necessary
  • Provide thorough research of customer-facing issues and provide report to escalation teams prior to escalation
  • Update customers and other stakeholders regularly on ongoing trouble tickets and provide full report of outages and/or defects
  • Backups

Qualifications include ›

  • BA/BS preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Thorough understanding and experience maintaining, managing and monitoring servers running Linux OS required
  • Working knowledge of network troubleshooting, traceroutes, pings, etc. required
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to provide temporary relief of device or application outage until final resolution is put in place
  • Ability to quickly and efficiently address customer needs by providing solutions to customer issues or escalating to another support group when necessary
  • The candidate must have excellent phone and written skills and have the ability to translate a complex problem into a simpler language for the customer and vice versa
  • Flexible to cover other shifts as needed in a 24/7/365 NOC environment
  • Security clearance is desirable
  • Highly responsible, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Resource oriented person with the ability to adapt to a constantly changing technical environment

Lead Customer Support Technician

Anonymizer is an Abraxas Corporation Company and is the leader in online identity protection and privacy. We are seeking a Lead Customer Support Technician.

Responsibilities include ›

  • Leads and trains customer support technicians to provide technical support for all Anonymizer services to consumers on all platforms: Macs, PCs, and mobile devices.
  • Submits tickets and bugs to escalate issues with servers, services, and the website.
  • Tracks and submits new resolutions and Frequently Asked Questions for internal and customer use.
  • Works with Consumer Support Technicians to develop new technical resolutions with both screenshots and step-by-step instructions.
  • Provides technical support including configuring routers, Internet security software, e-mail clients, and Anonymizer software.
  • Provides technical support for all Anonymizer services to consumers on all platforms: Macs, PCs, and mobile devices.
  • Tests via virtual machines and remote sessions resolutions developed to be placed on website.
  • Addresses technical pre-sales calls and emails.
  • Responds to technical e-mail and phone inquiries.
  • Submits weekly reports to Manager regarding issues identified over the course of the week, updates needed for the website, and apprises of any updates regarding escalated issues.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in addressing sales and billing issues when necessary.

  • Power computer user, learns new applications quickly
  • Internet savvy, especially regarding privacy and security
  • Strong analytic thinking, multi-tasking and problem solving skills
  • Able to explain difficult concepts in simple terms via email, blog, forum, and phone

Knowledge, Experience and Education ›

  • 2-3 years experience with computer Technical Support via phone or email
  • 1-2 years experience in Lead or Trainer position
  • Maintains active online presence; i.e. experience accessing all types of information, services, social interactions and products via the Internet
  • Proficient with troubleshooting Mac Leopard and Snow Leopard networking, Firewall, browsers, email clients, virtual machine software for Macs; active Mac user preferred
  • Proficient with troubleshooting Windows machines, including configuring networks, services, third party security software, browsers, updates
  • Proficient in the file structures of both Windows 32 and 64 bit systems, as well as Mac Leopard and Snow Leopard
  • Proficient with online activities on mobile platforms
  • Experience with configuration and use of Virtual machines
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office 2007 and 2008
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred
